A great-looking cast copper flower vase with intricate gold engraving depicting a phoenix design.  The vase is relatively large and is a visually appealing piece with the phoenix motif and gold engraving, which adds to its decorative value.  At the very bottom outside of the vase shows an inscription in Japanese katakana stating the following clearly translated :  "Chatter Night, October 20th, 1968.  Lions Club International"  It appears this was a prize/trophy at that time for a lucky recipient in Japan during one of the club's social events.  About the Lions Club, if so interested:  "Lions Clubs International was formed in 1917 by a Chicago business leader, Melvin Jones, who wondered what would happen if people put their talents to work improving their communities."
