Date:  Original, 1st edition Japanese erotic art shunga woodblock print picture from the Edo Period, c.1822, from his shunga series, Kurawa no tanoshimi.


Description: 100% genuine & authentic Japanese woodblock print shunga picture by Hokusai from c.1822.  Very good colors and impressions, as well as some gold mica (metallic pigments) and gauffrage.  Condition is good with some wear and soiling, couple small repairs with backing at bottom corners.  Please see and judge from photos.


Size of the shunga woodblock print picture:  22.4 cm x 26.2 cm.


A very rare and absolutely stunning Hokusai original shunga picture from one of his best series, Kurawa no tanoshimi.  In this scene a gorgeous, bare-breasted Japanese beauty is being felt up by a higher-ranking samurai with intricately adorned armor.  The amount of detail shown in this shunga picture is breathtaking! - definitely one of a handful of Hokusai's best shunga artworks he ever produced.
