He was a pupil of ukiyo-e master, Utagawa Toyokuni I.
Dated:  Tenpo era, 2nd year (1831)

  • Size of book (closed): approx. 22 cm x 15.5 cm
  • Pages: Multiple double-page illustrated spreads with text.  Approximately 16 colored-picture pages with the remaining pages being kanji text pages. (All pictures shown above).
  • Condition:  Good condition with strong colors and impressions.  Some wear, soiling, bit of wormage at top border on some pages.

 

A very nice original shunga book from 1831 by one of Toyokuni's more prominent students, Utagawa Kunitora.  Would make a great addition to any shunga collection!
